We use Howards Silver Polish and offer it in our store. When polishing your silver, use a clean, dry, white, soft cotton cloth or an old tee-shirt.
Do not use chemicals such as Tarnax or baking soda on silver. These can bleach your silver, causing irreparable damage.
Avoid over-polishing.
Yes, we test and verify all of our silver items and gurantee them to be both authentic and of the silver quality stated. We DO NOT engage in selling "Custom Made" pieces or "Knock Offs." We have never sold anything but authentic silver in our 20 years of business.
If you can still see markings on the silver pieces, you can either contact us with a picture of the markings and items, or you can look them up on websites like www.925-1000.com or SILVER HALLMARKS: STERLING, SILVERPLATE, ELECTROPLATE, SHEFFIELD (silvercollection.it).
New: Still in sealed OEM packaging
Excellent: No wear or damage evident
Good: Wear and minor damage (dings, deeper scratches) that are representative of its age
Fair: Significant dents, bent, pitting on blades, loose handles
Poor: Disposal damage, significant dents, bent, pitting on blades, loose handles
Scrap:
Caveats: Please add information about the existence of monograms, evidence of over-polishing, or bleached silver using chemicals (like Tarnax or baking soda).
